Instructor for all trainings is Wild Abundant Life Founder, Deborah (Debbie) Williamson. Debbie has trained hundreds of yoga teachers and helped even more to open thriving yoga businesses. Training with Debbie is not just a one-time event – it’s the start of a long-term mentor/student relationship. Support for grads includes free repeat attendance at future trainings & life-time access to Debbie for guidance & questions.
CURRICULUM
Teach a dynamic & challenging yoga class for participants of all levels! Emerge from training as an exceptional teacher from a program with an unparalleled national reputation and very high job placement rates. Special Focus will be given to:
- practical experience teaching (lots!)
- the business of yoga – how YOU will become successful in your career as a teacher
- teaching special populations & various age groups (injuries, rehab, athletes & more)
- anatomy & physiology
- science AND philosophy of yoga.
The demand for well-trained Certified Yoga Teachers has grown exponentially and continues to grow! This Certified Yoga Teacher program is state approved and follows the guidelines established by the Yoga Alliance for 200 hour certification. Acceptance to the program is limited to 14 participants for quality control and is highly competitive. Apply early to guarantee acceptance.
TUITION PRICING $3,500 plus a $100 application fee
Program Curriculum ~ 200-Hour Level:
- Techniques ~ 100 hours
- Teaching Methodology ~ 20 hours
- Anatomy and Physiology ~ 20 hours
- Philosophy/Ethics/Lifestyle ~ 20 hours
- Practicum ~ 10 hours
- Homework and Exams ~30 hours
- One-On-One Monthly Meetings (optional) ~ 4 hours
Definitions:
* Techniques Includes asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, chanting, and meditation. Hours in this category include both training in the techniques and practice of them. Midwest Power Yoga classes, bootcamps and workshops included.
* Teaching Methodology Principles of demonstration, observation, assisting/correcting, instruction, teaching styles, qualities of a teacher and the student’s process of learning.
* Anatomy and Physiology Includes both physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.) and astral/energy/subtle anatomy and physiology (chakras, nadis, etc.)
*Philosophy/Ethics/Lifestyle Study of yoga scriptures (Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, etc.), ethics for yoga teachers, ‘living the life of the yogi’, etc.
* Practicum Includes student teaching as well as observing and assisting in classes taught by others.
